One week to go
Fri, 26 Feb 2010THE Wagin Woolorama is gearing up to be bigger and better for their 38th annual show on Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6.
Home of the WA State Sheep show and a showcase of agricultural machinery and innovation Woolorama aims to showcase and celebrate regional WA. We provide a stage for businesses to promote and market to a regional client base.
Apart from the outdoor exhibition oval for machinery, implements and services the grounds provide spectacular facilities to display livestock and recreational outdoor products such as boats and caravans.
To include the whole family in the agricultural show experience, Woolorama provides continuous entertainment over the two days across the showgrounds, with many activities aimed to entertain children and teens. A drug and alcohol free beach party will be held on the rodeo grounds on Friday night for teens between the ages of 10 and 18 with some cold drinks, icecreams and sausages for sale from the Youth Centre.
Women are also not forgotten with fashion parades, the Designer of the Year competition and jewellery, clothing, household and gardening displays.
The Landmark Wine Baaa is a new addition to Woolorama. A relaxed venue designed for people to enjoy a quiet drink and gourmet nibbles with friends in a shade-covered venue with lounges and guest speakers. West Coast Eagle Glen Jakovich will be at the official opening of the bar on Friday and Sabrina Hahn will do some gardening talks during the two days of the show.
The Elders display is also not to be missed with a visit from Glenn McGrath in attendance from 10am to 12pm on Friday.
The show is proud to present the Education Pavilion which provides high schools and boarding schools with the opportunity to meet with prospective students and parents on a personal level.
Woolorama ends on a high note on Saturday afternoon with a spectacular rodeo which attracts spectators from far and wide to join in the adrenalin rush of the brave.
Woolorama promises to have something for everyone this year.
