Explosive action promised for Rodeo

Woolorama Rodeo promises to be a spectacular grand finale to the show with plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
The program will be similar to last year filled with top competitors who are considered the cream of the crop in their industry.
The Woolorama Rodeo is a full point show which allows competitors to earn points toward qualification for the National Title competition.
Winners of each event will receive a custom made Wagin Woolorama trophy buckle which will hopefully be presented on the day.
Children will again be able to participate in the Jumpbuck section, weight limits apply.
Former Australian Rodeo Queen, Woolorama Rodeo Patron and organiser of Woolorama Rodeo Jo-Lee Kestel said it should be a good night.
“It will be an action packed event and will finish Woolorama off on a good note.”
Ms Kestel has been fundamental in the development and success of the Wagin Woolorama Rodeo since it first commenced in 2008.
She has been working tirelessly alongside the Woolorama committee to guarantee that the Rodeo and finale to Woolorama is a thrilling end to the prestigious event and something to remember.
Ms Kestel will closely be working with Stacey Lambert, NRCA-WA Rodeo Queen and now Rodeo Queen of Australia.
Ms Lambert will be assisting with promotions for the Rodeo Finalé during Woolorama.
“It is an honor to return to my favourite Rodeo of the year, at Wagin Woolorama again, this year as the Rodeo Queen of Australia,” Ms Lambert said.
“The support given to me by the Woolorama committee in previous years has allowed me to bring the crown back to WA and for that I am so very grateful.”
A record crowd is expected this year with even more improvements made to the grounds.
People can expect to see the gorgeous Stampede Grand Entry Team to open the Rodeo with a burst of excitement and glamour.
This will create an electric atmosphere and set the scene for the explosive action which will follow.
After a quiet few months for Rodeo in WA the Cowboys, Cowgirls and Rough Stock are all anxious to get down to Wagin and feed the addiction of the sport they love.
A full Rodeo program will be on display, with the return of the highly skilled timed events which compliment the heart stopping action of the bulls, broncs and barrel racing!
The very best Cowboys and Cowgirls will all be at Woolorama competing for state titles and the exceptional trophy buckles, but above all to entertain the crowd.
Ms Lambert said with the dedication and commitment of those involved, it will undeniably be even bigger and better this year. “It provides a thrilling finale to such a prestigious event and an experience not to be missed,” she said.
The Rodeo is from 5pm to 7.30 on Saturday afternoon and wristbands for entry can be obtained from the Information tent for $5. Local band The Last Stand will entertain the crowd until late after the Rodeo.
