Location: 600s Times: Saturday only What to expect: Axemen from all over the state going head-to-head in a nail-biting wood chopping spectacular. It’s a true art and it’s not something you want to miss!
It has been said that the sport we now know as competitive woodchopping originated as the result of a bet between 2 men in a bar in Ulverstone, Tasmania. The two men set a wager for £25 to see who could fell a tree the fastest. Boy are we glad they had that bet! Because who doesn’t love a good log chop!? This year we are excited to add a good old-fashioned log chop to the mix. With axemen from all over the state going head to head in a nail-biting wood chopping spectacular. Watch as they cut through the timber with their razor-sharp axes. It’s a true art and it’s definitely not something you want to miss!
