Art, Craft and Design

All artwork to be mounted on coloured card with border—total size not to exceed A3
(30cm x 42cm). Items not meeting these criteria will not be displayed.

The theme for all drawings and paintings in all sections is 'Celebrating 50 years of Wagin Woolorama'

Wagin Young Artist Award Class P45: Wagin Young Artist Award

Special Prize donated by Jessica Hamersley $50

This award is aimed at encouraging young artists. They need to show the whole process behind the creation of a finished work of art.

There are three steps required to create one entry:

  1. The initial rough sketch of an idea
  2. Exploration of this idea- through resources and/or materials and/or later ideas. A display, not framed needs to be created of these two steps, leading to:
  3. The completed work framed to gallery standard and ready to hang.  Both will be displayed.


  1. The judge reserves the right to not award prize money if none of the entries fulfill all set criteria, and/or do not meet the high standard required.
  2. Entry is open to any junior artist year 7-12 residing in the Shire of Wagin
  3. All work must be the sole work of the artist and is not to be copied from any sources.
  4. Any quality art media suitable for 2D works of professional standard may be used.
