CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE

  1. ALL exhibits must be ADEQUATELY BOXED, whether for courier or for holding at Art Show Depots or Showgrounds.
  2. No money or entry forms are to accompany exhibits.
  3. Artists are responsible for advising how their exhibits are to be returned.
  4. Wrappings will only be retained if CLEARLY MARKED
  5. Exhibits must be original unaided work, not previously shown at Wagin Woolorama Art Show.
  6. 2D Exhibits must be ready to hang with name, title, price and class on back. Maximum size (including frame) 120cm x 120cm (if framed).
    • 3D Exhibits must have title, price, class and artists name on its underneath.
    • 3D Exhibits must weigh no more than 15kg.
    • 3D Exhibits maximum size 120cm x 120cm.
    • 3D Exhibits must stipulate if work is to be shown on a plinth or not.
    • 3D Exhibits must be free-standing and self-supporting.
  7. All exhibits must be for sale. 20% Commission on all sales. Limit of 4 exhibits. An exhibit may be entered in only one class and win only one prize, but may also be eligible for a Special Award.
  8. No responsibility for loss or damage will be accepted. All reasonable care taken.
  9. Exhibitors to arrange OWN INSURANCE, if required.
  10. Exhibits must remain on display until 5pm Saturday, sold or unsold, except at the discretion of the Chief Steward.
  11. Exhibits to be collected from 5pm to 5.30pm Saturday after checking out with stewards.
  12. Exhibits not claimed within one month become the property of the Wagin Agricultural Society Inc. to be disposed of as they see fit.
  13. The Stewards reserve the right to reject or reclassify any exhibit.
  14. Judges decision is final.
  15. Where the prize is acquisitive, should the selling price exceed the amount of the prize, the artist must indicate acceptance of the lesser amount.
  16. Artists not prepared to accept acquisition must state this on their entry form and will not be judged for the Wagin Art Prize.

WAGIN WOOLORAMA  ART PRIZE - $1000 for Most Outstanding Exhibit (acquisitive) sponsored by the Shire of Wagin.

FOUR PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS: 

  1. AGRICULTURAL AFFILIATED SOCIETIES ART AWARD COMPETITION in association with the Royal Agricultural Society of WA to be judged at the 2026 Perth Royal Show. (see website for eligible criteria)
  2. PEOPLE CHOICE AWARD - Recognition.
  3. MELVA POWELL ARTIST ENCOURAGMENT AWARD - $500 Art supply Voucher Donated by the Powell Family (see website for eligibility criteria)
  4. WOOLORAMA PRESIDENT'S AWARD - $100 voucher.
