This award is aimed at encouraging young artists. They need to show the whole process behind the creation of a finished work of art.
There are three steps required to create one entry:
- The initial rough sketch of an idea
- Exploration of this idea- through resources and/or materials and/or later ideas. A display, not framed needs to be created of these two steps, leading to:
- The completed work framed to gallery standard and ready to hang. Both will be displayed.
Conditions:
- The judge reserves the right to not award prize money if none of the entries fulfill all set criteria, and/or do not meet the high standard required.
- Entry is open to any junior artist year 7-12 residing in the Shire of Wagin
- All work must be the sole work of the artist and is not to be copied from any sources.
- Any quality art media suitable for 2D works of professional standard may be used.

Prize Money | First $3; Second $2 (Unless otherwise stated) To be collected from the Woolorama Office 10am to 11.30am on Saturday.

CONDITIONS
1. FOR BOYS & GIRLS ATTENDING SCHOOL ONLY (including homeschooling)
2. All work exhibited MUST be the work of Juveniles.
3. Articles MUST NOT HAVE BEEN ENTERED BEFORE and MUST BE THE UNAIDED WORK of the exhibitor.

Prize Money: $50
Best Exhibit: Craft and design
Most Points: Photography -$20
Special Prize: Class P45 Wagin Young Artist Award - $50.
Special Prize: Decorated item, all age groups -total prize money $25 - The Brenda Hall Memorial Prize - Classes P5, P11, P16 (1st $5, 2nd $3).
Special Prize: Best Exhibit in Metalcraft - $20.
Special Prize: Best decorated cake, all age groups. $25.

COOKERY CLASSES (one entry per section)
- Oven bags only to be used to cover items.
ART, KRAFT AND DESIGN (one entry per section)
All artwork to be mounted on colour card with border - total size not to exceed A3 (30cm x 42cm). Items not meeting these criteria will not be displayed. Theme for all Drawings and Paintings is: "Weather".
One entry per section.

PHOTOGRAPHY
- Images can be taken using digital cameras, mobile phones, tablets or computers, (e.g. iphotO, photo booth)
- All photos must be printed on quality photo paper and mounted onto card. Photo size must be 8in x 10in (A5 size photo)
- Must not be framed.
- 2 entries per section maximum.
