AGM Welcomes new President

AGM Welcomes new President

 Fri, 6th Aug, 2021

The Wagin Agricultural Society Inc AGM took place on Tuesday 28th July at 7 pm and it was a great turnout with more than 20 members present. A major part of any AGM is the election of officeholders and this year saw the changing of the guard with Howie Ward stepping down from his 3-year tenure as President and into the role as Immediate Past President. In his Presidents report, Howie thanked everyone for their hard work and commitment and is "looking forward to supporting the new President coming in for 2022 Woolorama and our 50th Birthday Celebrations" re-affirming that  "Woolorama is an event everyone can be proud of."

Howie’s time in this role has seen many changes to the organisation and this did not go unacknowledged with Paul Powell (newly elected president) thanking Howie for his commitment to the organisation and its members. “What a great example you have set in steering.us through… bringing Woolorama 2021 to fruition in fine fashion,” Paul says in the opening address to the new committee.

The nominees for officeholders all went unopposed for the 2021/22 committee. The details of the committee can be seen below. Congratulations to all new and returning committee members and a sincere thank you to each of you (past and present) for the extra effort you all put in to make the Wagin Agricultural Society and the Wagin Woolorama a success!
